  Just returned from a potentially good night at the cecil. My father was a long time patron of this establishment and since returning to the area I too have enjoyed many good nights there. However tonight I was amazed at the treatment extended to my partner and I. We had stopped in for a meal which was very large and satisfying had one double black before dinner and one after. Got talking with some friends that are also regulars. Music was good and my partner and a couple of friends were having an impromptu dance. Later on we settled down to a quiet conversation. For an hour or more. When fronting the bar for a third round we were informed that we could no longer have double blacks as the bar attendant informed us we were too intoxicated for any more doubles. When asked on what grounds were we believed to be intoxicated we wer told by the bar attendant that if we didn't like it we could leave. No points were forwarded to us as to how this conclusion was arrived at. At this point the "bouncer" appeared. We grabbed our stuff and left. Thoroughly discussed at our treatment. Deepest apologise to the friends we were talking with as we weren't granted the opportunity to say goodbye. Feeling absolutely amazed that we were extended such rude and unprofessional treatment at a pub that has been a part of my life for so long. Highly unlikely to darken the doorway of the cecil again. Sorry Peter Falvey. Maybe you need to train your staff not to discriminate against a lady going through chemo therapy.
